The nominees and honorees for the 42nd annual NAACP Image Awards will be announced during a press conference this morning in Beverly Hills, Ca. Hollywood sensations scheduled to share the exciting news include Kimberly Elise, actress, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, actor/rapper, Smokey Robinson, singer/songwriter, Columbus Short, actor, Affion Crockett, actor/comedian and actress Sanaa Lathan. 
The NAACP Image Awards celebrates outstanding achievements and performances by people of color in the arts and entertainment industry. Categories range from television, recording, literature, motion picture, writing and directing, in addition to individuals and groups who promote social justice through creative works.
