American legendary vocalist Etta James has died. The Grammy winning songstress is known for jazzy cool voice that bellowed lyrics of real love and life. Reports say James died in a California hospital after a battle with Leukemia. She was 73.
Launching her music career in the 50’s, 60’s and spanning through the 2000s, James recorded several chart topping tunes through the years that include “At Last,” “I’d Rather Go Blind,” and “Tell Mama.”
Etta James touched many generations from around the world with her jazz, blues, and R&B soulful sounds. 
Just recently the FOX hit show, The X Factor USA, featured a dynamic performance by teen sensation Rachel Crow who sang her rendition of Etta’s “At Last.” And Beyonce Knowls captured an excellent portrayal of James in the film “Cadillac Records.” Beyonce also sang the famous song “At Last” for President and Mrs. Obama during the Presidential Inaguration in Washington, DC.
Etta James will forever be missed but her music lives forever.
